Air NZ rolls out baggage tracking after successful trial

Passengers travelling on Air New Zealand will be able to track the status of their checkin baggage in the airline's app. Read More » The rollout of the baggage tracking feature on all domestic and international services followed a pilot program of the technology on selected routes earlier in 2023. "Since April, over 8,000 customers have successfully tracked their checked in baggage in our trial phase with the in-app feature," Air New Zealand chief customer and sales officer, Leanne Geraghty, said. "We’ve had overwhelmingly positive feedback from customers who have tested the feature." The Star Alliance member said the app also gave passengers the ability to report delayed or damaged baggage in the event a bag is lost or damaged.
