Cathay Pacific increases commitment to 64 A320 family aircraft

Read More » In a regulatory filing, the airline group said the single aisles will be operated by Cathay Pacific and HK Express, and serve China and Asia-Pacific destinations. “The company expects the Airbus aircraft to deliver improved efficiency and capability to the fleet at competitive operating costs while providing high standards of passenger comfort and safety,” Cathay Group said. The order will double Cathay's commitments to A320neo family aircraft to 64, with 13 of the type already delivered to the Hong Kong headquartered airline. “Cathay is one of the world’s leading airline groups and we are proud to be part of its recovery and growth plan,” Airbus chief commercial officer and head of international, Christian Scherer, said. “Operating out of the Cathay Group’s base at the heart of Asia, the A320neo family airplanes will expand its services across the region with a most efficient single aisle fleet and a positive passenger comfort differentiation.”
