Japan Airlines (JAL) has pushed back the entry into service of its A350-1000, scheduled to operate between Tokyo Haneda and New York JFK from November, to some time “before the end of the year”. Read More » The delay is the result of supply chain disruptions holding up delivery of components to the airline group, JAL said. On October 2, the oneworld alliance member unveiled the in-cabin products and cabin layout of its A350-1000 fleet, including its four-class configuration: six first, 54 business, 24 premium economy and 155 economy seats. This is a reduction of five seats from the 244-seat 777-300ERs, which have eight first, 49 business, 40 premium economy and 147 economy seats. The A350-1000s are replacing JAL’s 777-300ERs. “The overall aircraft cabin has been designed to immerse customers in the elegance of Japanese aesthetics and envelop them in tranquillity, providing a serene ambiance that encapsulates the beauty of Japan,” JAL said.
