Traffic rights expanded between China’s “Hawaii” and eastern Russia

The Civil Aviation Administration of China and the Russian Federation Ministry of Transport have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to increase traffic rights between the two countries, establish new communication channels, allow Russian airlines to make technical stops in China to refuel and adopt mutual recognition of maintenance. Read More » The MoU grants Russian airlines unlimited third and fourth freedom traffic rights to and from Haikou and Sanya on Hainan Island and Chinese airlines third and fourth freedom rights to Vladivostok, Ulan-Due and Kaliningrad. “The Russian delegation notes that in the current difficult conditions, which are not the fault of the Russian Federation, and in the regime of constant increases in sanctions pressure from non-friendly countries, it has asked its Chinese partners for assistance and support in restoring air services for Russian airlines operating regular and charter flights.” The MoU, which was signed on September 19 and made public last week, said: “The Chinese delegation will welcome Russian airlines operating more flights to China in accordance with the Chicago Convention, the bilateral air services agreement and the relevant national laws and regulations,”
