Boeing, NASA and United Airlines are partnering to measure the impact of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) on contrails and non-carbon emissions. A Boeing 737-10 ecoDemonstrator Explorer, operated by United, will fly with 100% SAF and conventional fuel in separate fuel tanks, with a NASA DC-8 Airborne Science Lab flying behind the test aircraft to measure emissions and contrail ice particles.

GE Aerospace has won a 10-year contract from Hainan Airlines to provide avionics services support for the full-service carrier’s 787s.

Lufthansa Technik has agreed a deal with China Airlines to provide aircraft transition services for the flag carrier’s 12 737-800s and 17 A330 family aircraft.

Travelport and Res2 have signed a multi-year contract with Thai Vietjet to supply their iPort departure control system to manage the LCC’s passenger handling, baggage and boarding.
