Japan Airlines to farewell last of its 777-200ERs in November

Japan Airlines (JAL) is to retire the final 777-200ER in its fleet more than two decades after the type entered service with JAL in August 2002. Read More » The final domestic flight of the airline’s sole remaining 777-200ER, registration JA703J scheduled as the JL916, will be from Okinawa Naha to Tokyo Haneda on November 12. However, JAL has said it is considering charter flights for the airliner. In other news, JAL will add a third daily Fukuoka-Sapporo New Chitose service to its network and will switch its Sapporo-Akita flights from New Chitose airport to Okatama airport on October 29.
