Cathay Cargo has commenced a trial that accepts air cargo from southern China’s Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) Logistics Park in Dongguan for export from Hong Kong using the ONE Record Data protocol. Read More » The Greater Bay Area (GBA) pilot program is being undertaken in partnership with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK). “This latest pilot scheme demonstrates Cathay Cargo continues to be a trailblazer in digitalising systems ready for the ONE Record implementation in 2026,” Cathay director for cargo, Tom Owen, said. “It also shows ONE Record’s ability to accept cargo from an upstream air freight terminal and log its transit by boat. It is a world first. Our new Cathay Cargo Terminal facility in Dongguan, together with its innovative solutions and technology, is playing a vital role in the project. It will bring benefits to intermodal cargo operations in the GBA for all parties and stakeholders.”
