China Eastern Airlines books 111.1% increase in domestic passengers for latest month

China Eastern Airlines (CEA) said 8.8 million passengers flew on its domestic network in September, up 111.1% from the 4.2 million passengers it transported in the same month in 2022. The month’s domestic passenger total was 100.1% of the 8.8 million travellers CEA carried in pre-pandemic September 2019. Capacity was 146.3% of the SkyTeam alliance member's September 2019 domestic available seat kilometres.
