Thai AirAsia reports 65% increase in passengers in September

Thai AirAsia (TAA) flew 4.6 million passengers in the three months to September 30, up 65% from the 2.8 million customers it transported in the same months a year ago. Read More » The figures were an 86% recovery against the same quarter in pre-COVID 2019. Capacity, measured by available seat kilometres, was higher by 61% year-on-year, reaching 78% of pre-pandemic levels. “In the domestic market, TAA carried 2.7 million passengers, recorded a load factor of 93%, representing 89% of the air travellers it flew in the third quarter four years ago, TAA parent company, Asia Aviation Plc, said. “By quarter end, TAA had maintained its market leadership and achieved an all-time high of a 38% passenger market share in domestic aviation.”
