Hong Kong airport and Dongguan Port Group to jointly develop logistics park

Read More » The central Guangdong facility will provide cargo security screening, palletisation and airline acceptance on-site before shipping, via secured vessels, to HKIA for uplift as air cargo. The park’s capacity will be a million tonnes of freight a year when the first phase, a 20 hectare area, is completed. “We are pleased to sign the agreement with our Dongguan partners for the development of HKIA Dongguan Logistics Park. It not only expands the hinterland for HKIA’s cargo business, but brings growth opportunities for trade, logistics and other relevant industries in Hong Kong and the entire Greater Bay Area (GBA),” AAHK executive director commercial, Cissy Chan, said. “We believe this project can strengthen HKIA’s role as a double gateway connecting the GBA with the world.”
