Korean Air adds 20 A321neos to order book

South Korea’s flag carrier, Korean Air (KAL), has signed a top up order for another 20 A321neo, lifting KAL’s planned acquisition of the type to 50. Read More » The SkyTeam alliance member accepted its first A321neo, from an initial order of 30, in December 2022. KAL operates eight of the single aisles to destinations in China, Japan and Southeast Asia. “The A321neo is aligned with Korean Air’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint while providing exceptional services,” KAL chief safety and operating officer, Jong Seok Yoo, said. “The contemporary design, advanced technology and spacious interior redefine the travel experience.” The KAL A321neos are configured with eight lie-flat business class and 174 economy seats. The airline also has committed to acquiring 30 787 family aircraft and 30 737 MAX 8s.
