BOC Aviation said in a regulatory filing Air Europa Lineas Aereas had commenced legal action against the company in the English Commercial Court claiming US$44.25 million as a refund of amounts paid in respect of three undelivered 787s. "The company believes this claim has no legal justification and intends to contest the case vigorously,” BOC Aviation said.

Commuter (JAC), Japan Airlines (JAL) and Oriental Air Bridge (ORC) have formally established the Regional Air Service Alliance Council four years after the idea took flight with the formation of the Regional Air Service Alliance Limited Liability Partnership. Despite COVID-19, the airline members collaborated on areas such as code-sharing beyond affiliated airline groups, providing common use of aircraft spare parts, supporting efforts to renew often ageing regional fleets 11and promoting technical cooperation to establish a safety infrastructure, promote efficiency of management and ensuring a stable operation as well as consider the admission of new members to the group.

Travelport has announced a contract extension with Air India covering new distribution capability (NDC) content. The travel technology company said it had extended and expanded a multi-year agreement with Air India to include NDC content through its global network of travel agencies.

Lufthansa Systems has migrated Cathay Pacific's operation critical systems to its Global Aviation Cloud infrastructure. Cathay's operational critical systems include Lufthansa Systems' NetLine/Ops ++ operation control system and network scheduling and planning tools, NetLine/Sched and NetLine/Plan, respectively.

Malaysia Aviation Group's (MAG) subsidiary, MAB Engineering, and MTU Maintenance Zhuhai have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish an engine on-site services facility with an initial focus on the CFM International CFM56-5B and -7B engines.

Sabre has updated its agreement with Air India to include domestic content on its global distribution systems (GDS) to travel buyers in India, offering more fares and seats. The updated agreement includes the future distribution of new distribution capability (NDS) content across the Sabre GDS.
