Airports Council International has selected consultancies Netherlands Airport Consultants and To70 to lead the establishment of a global standardised framework for improved airport environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) reporting.
Malaysia and Singapore have announced a review of delegation arrangements for air traffic services in the southern region of Peninsular Malaysia, Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said in a joint statement after their meeting in Singapore on October 30. “The leaders agreed to review the delegation arrangements for the provision of air traffic services over Southern Peninsular Malaysia, which were recommended and approved by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) in 1973 and implemented through the Operational Letter of Agreement between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore Area Control Centres concerning Singapore Arrivals, Departures and Over flights in 1974,” the joint statement said. “This review shall be in accordance with ICAO’s requirements for safe and efficient air traffic management as well as accommodate both countries’ current and future operational needs. Both leaders tasked the respective Transport Ministers to deliberate and agree on a set of principles and outcomes to guide both civil aviation authorities to move forward as expeditiously as possible."
Sabre has expanded its long-standing partnership with Virgin Australia (VA) after the Australian carrier selected the technology company as its new distribution capability (NDC) technology provider.
