AirAsia Indonesia (AAI) has reported a net loss of 875.4 billion rupiah (US$55 million) for the nine months to September 30 compared with a net loss of 1.5 trillion rupiah in the same quarters in 2022. Read More » Operating revenue was higher by 96.7%, at 4.9 trillion rupiah, AAI said in a regulatory filing. Operating expenses increased 45.5% to 5.5 trillion rupiah, the LCC added. “Strong pent-up demand is evident where travel restrictions have been lifted and more routes have re-opened. This supports the industry’s recovery in domestic and international markets,” the company’s financial accounts said. “However, there is still substantial medical and economic uncertainty about the COVID-19 pandemic.”
