Alliance Aviation Services has opened an MRO facility at Rockhampton Airport in the Australian state of Queensland. The workshop will conduct MRO services on the Australian operator's fleet, bringing work previously undertaken by third party providers back in-house.
Boeing has been hit by a ransom ware attack on its parts and distributions business and is working with U.S. authorities as well as conducting its own investigations into the cyber incident, the Reuters news agency has reported, citing a company spokesperson.
Sabre has reported revenue increased 12%, to US$740 million, in the September quarter, the technology provider said in a regulatory filing. Sabre CEO, Kurt Ekert, said it was a solid result, and added he believed the third quarter was a turning point for the company. “We delivered financial results that exceeded expectations, including double digit revenue growth, significant margin expansion and cost actions that resulted in strong free cash flow generation in the quarter,” Ekert said.
Changi Airport Group (CAG) celebrated the completion of its Terminal 2 expansion project on November 1. The finished project is lifting Singapore Changi Airport's passenger capacity by five million, to 90 million passengers per year across its four terminals. “We hope T2 will set a new benchmark for customer service and delight among airports,” CAG programme director for the Terminal 2 expansion project, Tan Lye Teck, said. “We hope every user will find great pleasure and discover wonder whenever they travel through T2.”
