Firefly touches down at Bangkok Don Mueang

Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) airline, Firefly, has commenced nonstop Penang-Bangkok Don Mueang. Read More » The inaugural service, FY3632 operated by 737-800 registration 9M-MLH, took off on November 4 around 1630 local time and arrived at Don Mueang about 90 minutes later. After 1.5 hours on the ground, the 737-800, configured with 189 seats in a single-class layout, departed for Penang as FY3633. Firefly has scheduled five flights a week on the route. “This strategic expansion underscores Firefly's commitment to strengthen our footprint throughout the ASEAN region,” MAG CEO of airlines, Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi, said. “It not only improves regional accessibility for domestic travellers, but open doors for international visitors, potentially boosting tourism, business travel and foreign investment.” Malaysia Airlines, also an MAG carrier, flies to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi from Kuala Lumpur.
