Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has reported net profit rose 22% to US$122 million in the three months to September 30 2023, while revenue was up 17.5% at US$659.4 million. "Aircraft demand remains very strong, while supply chain and other OEM challenges will continue to constrain the supply of commercial aircraft," ALC CEO, John Plueger, said.
Boeing said its 777-9X widebody was headed to the 2023 Dubai Airshow to be part of the event's flying display between November 13 and 15. The company said other Boeing commercial aircraft on display at the event included 787-9 aircraft from Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways and Riyadh Air, a 787-20 from SAUDIA, a 777-300ER from Emirates Airline and a 737 MAX 8 from Air India Express.
Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing aircraft company, Eve Holding, reported a net loss of US$31.2 million for the three months to September 30 2023, compared with a net loss of US$36.7 million in the same three months in 2022.
GE Aerospace and GKN Aerospace have signed a new agreement to expand an existing partnership to include cooperation on "new technology insertion, fan case production and assembly, and repair of high volume, complex engines structures".
Still with GE Aviation, the company announced at the China International Import Expo, held in Shanghai, an order for 25 GEnx-1B engines and a services agreement from China Eastern Airlines. The Shanghai-headquartered carrier is an existing GE customer for its 787 fleet.
