Jetstar Airways to update 787-8 cabins from late 2025

Australia-based Jetstar Airways said it was adding more business class seats, a crew rest area and on-board internet connectivity via wifi on board its 787-8 fleet as part of a refresh of the type's inflight product due to commence in late 2025. Read More » The Qantas Group LCC said the new 787-8 configuration comprised 44 business and 281 economy seats for a total of 325. This was 10 fewer seats than the 335 seats – 21 business and 314 economy – the Jetstar Airways 787-8s were currently configured with. “This multi-million-dollar fleet revamp will allow us to offer our customers more choice, comfort and amenities when flying longer distances internationally," Jetstar Group CEO, Stephanie Tully, said. “The new crew rest areas mean our crew will be able to get the rest they need to operate longer flights, unlocking the possibility of exciting new destinations like Sri Lanka and India.” Jetstar Airways said "no decisions have been made yet" about future routes.
