U.S. DOT approves Mainland China carriers schedules for U.S. services

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) late last week released its approved schedule for the 35 weekly flights available for Mainland China airlines on U.S. routes. Read More » The latest schedule, effective November 9, represented an increase of 11 weekly services from the 24 weekly round-trip scheduled passenger flights previously. Air China was granted 11 weekly flights to four U.S. cities – Los Angeles, New York JFK, San Francisco and Washington D.C. – China Eastern Airlines was granted nine weekly flights serving Los Angeles, New York JFK, San Francisco and China Southern Airlines was granted seven weekly flights to Los Angeles, New York JFK, San Francisco. For the remaining available frequencies, Hainan Airlines (three weekly flights), Sichuan Airlines (two weekly flights) and Xiamen Airlines (three weekly flights) were also granted approvals to fly between Mainland China and the U.S.
