Air India said its virtual agent, called “Maharaja”, powered by Microsoft Azure's artificial intelligence platform has successfully answered about half a million customer enquiries, or about 6,000 queries a day, in four languages – English, French, German and Hindi – since the pilot program was launched in March 2023.

Etihad Cargo has launched a new feature on its online booking portal developed with IBS Software, known as instant offer rate (IOR), to give customers the best available price for their requirements.

Rolls-Royce said the technology demonstrator of its in-development UltraFan engine successfully completed a test run at maximum power at the company's testbed in the U.K. city of Derby. The UltraFan technology, designed to power narrowbody and widebody aircraft, was expected to be available for commercial operations in the 2030s.

In other Rolls-Royce news, company said it had successfully completed compatibility testing on all civil aero engines in its product lineup for the use of 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). "All the tests confirmed the use of 100% SAF does not affect engine performance," Rolls-Royce said.
