AirAsia Malaysia to launch daily Kuala Lumpur-Perth

AirAsia Malaysia is expanding its international network to Australia with the introduction of nonstop Kuala Lumpur-Perth from next March 11. Read More » The route will be scheduled as an afternoon departure from Kuala Lumpur arriving in the West Australian capital around 2000 local time. After 50 minutes on the ground, the return flight will depart Perth and touch down in Kuala Lumpur at 0240 the next day. AirAsia Malaysia will complement sister carrier’s AirAsia X current daily flight on the route; an overnight service from Kuala Lumpur and a morning departure from Perth. “With the new model A321neo joining the AirAsia Malaysia fleet, including longer range capability, we are able to make these services to Australia a reality,” " AirAsia Malaysia CEO, Riad Asmat, said. “Based on increasing demand, we believe it is the right time to expand our network into this new market in West Australia. We also anticipate introducing more routes in the region in the near future.”
