First Japan Airlines, Yamato Holdings A321P2F revealed

The first A321P2F (Passenger to Freighter) to operate the Japan Airlines (JAL) and Yamato Holdings's domestic freight partnership has completed a test flight from Tokyo Narita airport ahead of the start of commercial operations in April next year. The aircraft, registration JA81YA, was converted to a freighter configuration by ST Engineering in Singapore. In January 2022, JAL and Yamato unveiled plans to start domestic freighter operations in Japan using three A321ceo passenger-to-freighter converted aircraft. JAL group LCC, Spring Japan, will be the first operating airline of the three freighter aircraft.
