Firefly expands intra-Borneo network with Kota Kinabalu-Miri service

Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) carrier, Firefly, has commenced twice weekly nonstop flights from Kota Kinabalu in Sabah and Miri in Sarawak. Read More » The route, FY2500 operated by 737-800 registration 9M-MLG and configured with an all-economy layout of 189 seats, took off from Kota Kinabalu on November 22. Firefly is the second airline to fly the route alongside AirAsia Malaysia and is the carrier’s third intra-Borneo service. The airline also flies the intra-Sarawak route between Kuching-Miri and intra-Sabah Kota Kinabalu-Sandakan and Kota Kinabalu-Tawau services. "This enhancement will offer improved itineraries and enhanced connectivity for travellers, facilitating seamless access to destinations within Sabah and Sarawak and beyond,” the airline said.
