AirAsia adds new Thiruvananthapuram route

AirAsia Malaysia is expanding its presence in India with a new flight between Kuala Lumpur and Thiruvananthapuram due to commence on February 21 2024. Read More » The LCC has scheduled four flights a week on the route, which has been timed as late evening departure from Kuala Lumpur and an overnight service from Thiruvananthapuram. "Undoubtedly, India is one of AirAsia’s most popular destinations for Malaysian travellers," AirAsia Malaysia CEO, Riad Asmat, said. "We hold a market share of 47% of the international air connectivity between the two nations. Over the last decade and a half, we’ve drastically transformed the travel landscape in India and connected many millions of travellers to Malaysia and beyond affordably." Currently, AirAsia Malaysia serves six destinations in India from its Kuala Lumpur hub - Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata and Tiruchirappalli – while sister carrier AirAsia X had service to Amritsar and Delhi.
