MYAirline agrees to pay staff unpaid wages: Report

Grounded LCC, MYAirline, has agreed to pay 153 employees about 4.3 million ringgit (US$919,000) in unpaid wages after being ordered to do so by Malaysia's Labour Department, Free Malaysia Today reported, citing comments from Malaysian Trades Union Congress (MTUC) secretary general, Kamarul Baharin Mansor. Six of its 10 A320s have been deregistered and returned to lessors, while its air service licence and air operator certificate have been suspended. The company had said previously it was in discussions with two potential investors to recapitalise the airline and get it back flying again.
