T'way plans to grow fleet by seven aircraft in 2024

South Korea-headquartered LCC, T'way Air said it planned to grow its fleet of 30 aircraft by adding seven more aircraft in 2024, including the arrival of more widebodies. Read More » The airline said it was expecting to increase profitability with the additional aircraft through efficient operations and a strategic approach to route and network planning. Currently, T'way had a mix of A330-300, 737-800 and 737 MAX 8 aircraft in its fleet. The company recently reported operating profit of 137.1 billion won (US$105 million) for the nine months to September 30 2023, representing a significant turnaround from the operating loss of 192 billion won in calendar 2022. Revenue for the nine months was 989.8 billion won, which has already surpassed the 810.4 billion won generated in calendar 2022.
