Osaka Kansai Airport (KIX) has opened an international departures facility at Terminal 1. Read More » From this week, passengers can proceed through passport control more smoothly as the new area operates centralised immigration clearance, KIX said. Until now, passengers proceeding to security and their gates have had to clear immigration at the north or south areas of the terminal. The new international departures area also has duty-free shops, a central plaza, food and beverage outlets and four “Mood” areas – active, curious, fun and peaceful.
