WestJet to open Calgary-Seoul in 2024
Canada’s WestJet has announced a new nonstop service to Seoul Incheon from its Calgary hub that will commence in May next year. Read More » The seasonal rotation will be three times a week and be operated with 787-9s configured with 16 business, 28 premium economy and 276 economy seats. The Canada-headquartered airline said bookings for the route will open in early 2024. “Beyond creating greater two-way tourism opportunities, Seoul-Calgary will increase connectivity between Western Canada and Asia generating unique business and cargo opportunities,” WestJet chief commercial officer, John Weatherill, said. “We experienced tremendous success with the launch of service to Asia last summer and anticipate Seoul will be warmly welcomed by Canadians.” WestJet’s seasonal Calgary-Tokyo Narita route will return in 2024 with an increased schedule to daily flights, the airline added.
