Japan Airlines joins A350-1000 club

Japan Airlines' (JAL) first A350-1000 has touched down in Tokyo after an official handover ceremony at Airbus headquarters. Read More » The aircraft, registration JA01WJ, took off from Toulouse a little before 1400 local time on December 14, landing at Tokyo Haneda just before 1030 today. It is the first of 13 A350-1000s the oneworld alliance member has on order, with the type to replace JAL’s 777-300ERs. JAL recently announced Haneda-New York JFK as the A350-1000’s inaugural route, starting in January. Haneda-Dallas/Fort Worth will be launched later in the year. The JAL A350-1000s are fitted with six first class, 54 business class, 24 premium economy class and 155 economy seats. The flag carrier flies A350-900s on its domestic network.
