AirAsia X seeks fresh capital

AirAsia X Group said it was looking to raise up to MYR395 million ($108.7 million) through additional rights issues within the next quarter. Read More » It also proposed doubling its authorised share capital from 3.33 billion shares valued at MYR500 million, to 6.67 billion shares valued at MYR1 billion.
If achieved, the long-haul budget carrier intends to use MYR115 million for debt repayment and MYR270 million as general working capital for its three subsidiaries – Indonesia AirAsia X, Malaysia AirAsia X and Thai AirAsia X.
