Honeywell has recorded net profit rose 14.2%, to US$5.7 billion, in the 12 months to December 31 2023, compared with the previous year. The company's aerospace business increased its segment profit 16%, to US$3.7 billion, Honeywell said in a regulatory filing. “Our portfolio is well positioned to accelerate both our top line and earnings growth, underpinned by three compelling megatrends: automation, the future of aviation and energy transition,” Honeywell CEO, Vimal Kapur, said.
RTX, parent company of aerospace firms, Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney and Raytheon, has reported a US$3.2 billion net profit for calendar 2023, down 39% from US$5.2 billion in 2022. Revenue was up 3%, to US$68.9 billion. The company’s financial results were impacted by a manufacturing issue related to Pratt & Whitney's geared turbofan engines (GTF). “The financial and operational outlook of our GTF fleet management plans remain consistent from October and continues to be a top priority,” RTX chief operating officer, Chris Calio, said in a regulatory filing.
