Singapore Changi to match pre-pandemic passenger numbers within the year

Read More » In a written response to parliamentary questions posted on the Ministry of Transport's website, Chee said Changi Airport processed 58.9 million passengers in 2023, around 90% of throughput in pre-COVID 2019. He also reaffirmed that Changi Airport Terminal 5 development is scheduled to commence in 2025 and to be operating in the mid-2030s. “By continuing to work together as one Changi community and leveraging on our strong tripartite partnerships, I am confident Changi Airport will be ready to welcome more passengers to Singapore and offer them the distinctive traveller experience Changi is known for,” he said.
