Lion Air Group carrier, Batik Air Malaysia, has appointed Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy as CEO of the carrier for the second time. Read More » Datuk Chandran was Batik Air Malaysia's first CEO, launching the airline in 2013 as Malindo Air. He held the post until 2019, when he was appointed Lion Air Group strategy director. Datuk Chandran succeeds Captain Mushafiz Mustafa Bakri, who has returned to Lion Air Group as safety director.
Garuda Indonesia has announced Thomas Oentoro submitted his resignation as its independent commissioner on February 11 to take up a board directorship at the Indonesia Investment Authority, effective February 15.
