India is allowing foreign cargo flights from all international airports for three years. Until now, foreign carrier freighter operations were only authorized to fly from six airports in India - Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.
Japan Airlines (JAL) has inaugurated operations of an all-cargo aircraft, a converted 767-300ER (Boeing 767-300BCF), marking its return to dedicated freighter operations after a 13 year break.
Earlier this week, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and the International Air Transport Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen aviation growth in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific by working together on aviation sustainability, air traffic management, aviation safety and aviation training.
Philippines Department of Transportation (DOT), the Civil Aviation Authority Philippines (CAAP) and Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) have launched a campaign to encourage global aerospace companies to establish facilities at Clark International Airport. They are targeting MROs, aerospace manufacturers, fixed-based operators (FBO), business aviation companies, original equipment makers (OEMs), cargo airlines, logistics companies, regional and international airlines and training organizations.
