Delta Air Lines to add second nonstop U.S.-Australia route to network

Delta Air Lines will inaugurate nonstop three times a week seasonal Los Angeles-Brisbane on December 24. Read More » The SkyTeam alliance member will serve the route with three class A350-900s until March 28 next year. “With the addition of Brisbane, Delta’s winter schedule will offer our customers up to 17 weekly flights between the U.S. and Australia,” Delta senior vice president of network planning, Joe Esposito, said. “This marks our most extensive schedule to the South Pacific to date. As we build our presence in the region, we know our customers will enjoy the enhanced experience consistently provided by Delta.” The airline’s present South Pacific destinations are Los Angeles to Sydney, Auckland and Tahiti.
