Leading U.S. carriers to launch Tokyo Haneda services

American Airlines (AA) and United Airlines have announced they will be flying to Tokyo Haneda Airport from New York JFK and Guam, respectively, following the U.S. Department of Transportation (DoT) allocation of recently available take-off and landing slots at the close-in Tokyo airport. Read More » AA will operate nonstop New York JFK-Haneda from June 28 with 777-200ERs. The daily rotation joins AA business partner and fellow oneworld alliance member, Japan Airlines (JAL),  on the route. It flies twice daily between the two cities. Secondly, UA will launch nonstop Guam-Haneda with 737-800s on May 1. UA flies 32 times weekly between Guam and Tokyo Narita Airport. It also serves Osaka Kansai, Fukuoka and Nagoya from the U.S. territory.
