Hong Kong airport throughput improves to 4.1 million passengers

Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) said air travellers processed in January almost doubled from the 2.1 million passengers that passed through its two terminals 12 months earlier. Read More » Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) said traffic growth was highest to and from Southeast Asia, China and Taiwan. “Passenger traffic continued a steady trend of recovery with significant increases in all passenger segments compared with January 2023,” AAHK said. “HKIA recently welcomed two new airlines customers: Ruili Airlines connecting with Nanning and Cambodia Angkor Air linking with Phnom Penh. HKIA's passengers for the reported 31 days were 63.9% of the 6.6 million travellers who passed through the airport in January 2019.
