Qantas Group accelerates wet lease fleet expansion

Read More » Qantas exercised options for the four Embraer aircraft in October 2023. “These additional committed aircraft will progressively enter service with Qantas to June 2024 increasing aircraft in service to 26,” Alliance said in a regulatory filing. “A further four options remain to be called.” Last week, Qantas said its domestic capacity, measured by Available Seat Kilometres (ASK), is expected to reach 98% of pre-COVID-19 numbers in its current full-year and increase to 99% in the first quarter of fiscal 2024-2025. The oneworld alliance member's international ASKs are forecast to be 86% of pre-pandemic operations in the current year to June 30 and 90% in next three months.
