Qantas Group’s domestic carrier joins A220 club

Read More » Flown by A220-300 registration VH-X4B, the aircraft departed the Victorian capital a little after 1030 on March 1 and touched down 45 minutes later in Canberra. QantasLink has accepted two A220s from an order of 29 of the type. The aircraft are configured in a two-class layout of 10 business and 127 economy seats. The Airbus airplanes are replacing QantasLink's 717s. At last December 31, QantasLink had a fleet of 14 717s. Qantas Group's interim results, published last month, show. “These next-generation aircraft are going to make a real difference for customers travelling across our network so it’s great to see the launch of commercial flights from today,” QantasLink CEO, Rachel Yangoyan, said.
