Avia Solutions Group flags fleet growth for Australian acquisition

Read More » The transaction, announced in January, is part of the company’s strategy of limiting the impact of seasonality and accessing new markets in the Asia-Pacific and elsewhere, Avia Solutions CEO, Jonas Janukenas, said. New Skytrans managing director, Gytis Gumuliauskas, is keen to “extensively develop” the airline's crew, maintenance, insurance (ACMI) and wet lease operations. “Passenger operations will be our main focus with cargo an area we are willing to explore and develop in 2024 and beyond,” Gumuliauskas said. “To achieve these goals, we plan to expand the fleet with A319s for passengers and A321F for cargo transportation.” Skytrans flies an all-turboprop fleet of Cessna 208B Grand Caravans, Dash 8-100s and Dash 8-300s.
