Sri Lanka’s government has announced it will assume US$510 million of SriLankan Airlines debt as part of a two stage bidding process aimed at selling the airline. Read More » The first stage, which closed on March 5, required potential investors to Request For Qualification (RFQ). Unconfirmed reports have identified Etihad Airways, Emirates Airline and Indian conglomerate, Adani Group, as parties interested in acquiring equity in the flag carrier.
