Regional airline association announces first turboprop safety conference

The Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) will host a conference in Kuala Lumpur later this year that will focus on turboprop safety. Read More » The Asia and Pacific Turboprop Safety Conference will be held on June26-June 27 to support the region’s large number of regional turboprop operators. “The industry believes wholeheartedly that safety is paramount and no airline should be left behind,” AAPA director general, Subhas Menon, said. “The Asia and Pacific Turboprop Safety Conference underscores our commitment to promoting safety excellence across all segments of commercial aviation.” Agenda topics will include emergency response, safety culture, flight data monitoring and unique airport and operational considerations, the AAPA said.

Very good effort by AAPA. Turboprop operators have been neglected for the longest time in their efforts to promote safety on a global or international level and here the AAPA is doing just that. Well done!
