Jetstar Australia to launch 100th domestic route to capture “sun birds” market

On June 28, Jetstar Airways will inaugurate daily Melbourne Avalon-Brisbane, the LCC group’s 100th domestic route and its third destination from Melbourne Avalon Airport. Read More » “The launch of flights between Melbourne Avalon and Brisbane marks the first time in our history we have operated 100 domestic routes. The service has been made possible by the introduction of new state-of-the-art neo aircraft into our fleet,” Jetstar Group CEO, Stephanie Tully said. The new route is targetting passengers travelling to Southern Queensland to escape the cold winter weather of Greater Melbourne, Geelong and Western Victoria. The route also will offer Queensland visitors direct access to Victoria’s Surf Coast and the Great Ocean Road, the airline said.
