Virgin Atlantic predicts “infinite demand” in India’s airline market

Virgin Atlantic (VA) is witnessing "infinite demand" in the aviation market in India, VA CEO, Shai Weiss, said during a recent media roundtable, reports The Economic Times. Read More » Starting in October, the airline will fly double daily London-Mumbai. It also is looking to expand code-sharing with IndiGo. Currently, VA operates double daily London Heathrow-Delhi. “Next year marks 25 years of operations [to India]. With our new daily flights to Bengaluru and a second daily service to Mumbai, it will be the first time we will offer more than a million seats from London Heathrow. There is infinite demand in the India market and it has grown significantly. Tickets tend to be cheaper now than in the future. There is good visibility into the summer and fares are holding up,” Weiss said.
