EVA Airways to take on new rivals with increased frequency to Seattle

From June 25, EVA Airways will add three more flights a week from Taipei to Seattle increasing the route to 10 times a week. Read More » Taiwan’s Central News Agency has reported EVA is seeking to both protect market share and take a larger piece of the passenger pie on the expanding trans-Pacific route. At present, EVA is the only carrier to fly directly between Taipei and Seattle. Next month, Delta Air Lines will start operating between the two cities seven times a week and on July 14 flag carrier, China Airlines, will offer a five times a week Taipei-Seattle service. In mid-August, STARLUX Airlines will be the fourth carrier to serve Taipei-Seattle at three flights a week. In separate news, EVA and EVA Air Service have once again received the International Air Transport Association Cold Chain Pharmaceutical International Certification (CEIV Pharma). which covers EVA Air and its ground service and air transportation operations at Taoyuan International Airport. It is the only airline in Taiwan and one of the few in the world to obtain the certification for air and ground operations.
