Air New Zealand returning to Hobart and Seoul, extending Chicago route hiatus

Read More » The two routes will be seasonal, operating three times a week from next October to March 2025. Air NZ also will boost capacity from Auckland to Singapore, Taipei and Tokyo from November to next March by up gauging the routes from the 787-9 to the 777-300ER. “Our premium cabins are incredibly popular with customers travelling to and from destinations like Singapore, Tokyo and Taipei, so we are excited to introduce increased capacity to offer them more seats to book travel,” Air NZ general manager for long-haul, Scott Carr, said. “We are committed to connecting New Zealand with the world and these schedule changes mean we can continue to do that.” The Star Alliance member said the suspension of Auckland-Chicago O'Hare will be extended beyond previously announced October 2024 as a result of aircraft availability limitations. “We anticipate returning to Chicago when we receive our new 787s from Boeing, currently expected to be delivered in the second half of 2025,” Carr said.
