Pattaya Airways takes delivery of first turboprop freighter

Read More » The airline said, in a social media post, the pre-owned turboprop, registration HS-PAW, arrived at U-Tapao Rayong-Pattaya International Airport on April 22. The start-up carrier has received its air operating license (AOL) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) and is in the process of qualifying for its air operator certificate (AOC). It intends to inaugurate flight operations in August. “This aircraft is one of two the airline plans to utilise for cargo operations, both domestically and internationally, to support the growth of the logistics and e-commerce industries across ASEAN,” Pattaya Airways said. “The second aircraft, also an ATR 72-500 freighter, is scheduled to enter service in May next year. Pattaya Airways intends to expand its ATR fleet to five of the type by 2028.
