Air India and Vistara on track to merge in final quarter 2024

Read More » India’s National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has reserved its order on the merger application, but the airlines have approached the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) seeking clarification on crossover training requirements for pilots and crew, Hindu Businessline reports. “Discussion is on with the DGCA on the issue of crossover training and if the training period can be shortened. Training the entire set of pilots and crew will require a lot of time and will impact schedules,” a person familiar with the process told the newspaper, and added that after NCLT approval, the two airlines will align pricing, networks and schedules.
