KLM to cut back Europe-Asia network in northern winter season

In northern hemisphere winter 2024-2025, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) will operate fewer flights to Asia than previously announced. Read More » Based on an Aeroroutes schedule comparison from March 3 and May 8, KLM’s Amsterdam-Hong Kong frequency will shrink to four flights a week from six rotations now and Amsterdam-Kuala Lumpur-Jakarta will be serviced six times weekly instead of seven. Other cutbacks each week will be Amsterdam to Osaka Kansai from seven to three services, to Seoul Incheon from seven to six and Taipei Taoyuan-Manila from daily to four services every seven days. Last month, in a Financial Times story “European airlines cut back Asia routes as Gulf carriers offer cheaper flights”, KLM was named as one of the airlines affected by competition from Middle East carriers.
