Bangkok Airways more than doubles profit traffic update reports

Bangkok Airways has reported a net profit of 1.9 billion baht (US$51 million) for the three months to March 31 against an 875.1 million baht net profit achieved in the matching quarter in 2023. Read More » Revenue improved 36.3%, to 7.8 billion baht, Bangkok Airways said in a regulatory filing. “"Due to the rise of travel demand in the first quarter of 2024, the company increased flight frequency to serve the large volume of passengers,” Bangkok Airways said. The airline carried 1.3 million passengers in the quarter, an increase of 17.1% from 1.1 million air travellers a year ago. Passenger load factor increased 1.3 percentage points to 88.4%.
